I have been wanting to get into the water for a long time. There are some significant differences between shooting on land and in the water, and I want to grow.
This morning I made a lot of mistakes. Chose not to wear fins because it looked shallow enough. This stopped me from shooting rights, which were the dominate direction. I forgot my ear plugs. I have a hole in my right ear and if water gets in it, its like a hot metal spike is rammed into my brain. And, I need to wax my port. I found a lot of the shots I wanted to take didn’t turn out as good because there was too much water on the port.
All rookie errors. All things to get right next time.
But I still had fun. The risk is so much higher when in the water. So many things can go wrong. Yet I find myself smiling so much in the water because I’m in it.
